Begin Your Well-being Journey with Kat at Embracing

Because support isn’t one-size-fits-all, and neither is your path.

First off, wherever you're at on your journey—whether you’re trying to conceive, navigating infertility or loss, preparing for birth, or adjusting to life postpartum—I want you to know this: you're not alone, and you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

I’m Kat (she/her), a Calgary-based Full-Spectrum Doula and the heart behind Embracing the Journey. I don’t work out of a clinic or office; instead, I meet you where you are. Literally. That might mean catching up over coffee, sitting with you in your living room, or connecting virtually on days when that’s what works best.

No stiff rooms or sterile checklists here—just personalized, mobile support that fits into your real life.

So... What Is Personalized Wellbeing Support?

Let’s ditch the “cookie-cutter” approach, yeah? When I talk about personalized support, I mean care that’s designed around youyour story, your goals, your needs, your pace.

My work includes support for:

  • Trying to conceive (TTC)

  • Navigating fertility treatments or infertility

  • Processing loss or grief

  • Pregnancy and birth planning

  • Postpartum transitions

  • Infant acupressure and massage

  • Childbirth education sessions

But that’s not where it ends. I’ve also trained in areas like trauma-informed care, nutrition, essential oils, Reiki, birth photography, and emotional support work. It’s a blend of practical tools and intuitive presence, because your well-being isn’t just physical, it’s emotional, mental, and spiritual too.

What Does This Look Like in Real Life?

It might look like:

  • Meeting you at your favourite local café to talk through your birth preferences

  • Visiting your home postpartum to help with baby massage, emotional support, or meal prep

  • Sitting together and processing a loss, in a safe and non-judgmental space

  • Helping you explore nourishing foods during TTC or postpartum

  • Creating personalized affirmation cards or plans tailored to your journey

  • Photographing your birth journey (if desired), capturing your strength and softness

Each session is guided by what you need in that moment. We don’t rush. We don’t follow a script. We listen, adjust, and move through it together.

Why Personalized Care Matters More Than Ever

Here’s the thing: life doesn’t fit neatly into boxes. Neither should your support.

Here’s what a personalized doula journey offers:
  • Deeper connection: You’re not one of many on a rotating schedule—you’re you, and our work is rooted in relationship.

  • More flexibility: Home visits? Outdoor walks? Chatting virtually in your pajamas? Let’s do what feels good.

  • Holistic support: From nourishing your body to calming your nervous system, care isn’t just one-dimensional.

  • Gentle accountability: I’m here to check in, walk alongside you, and make sure you don’t feel forgotten in the shuffle.

Real Talk: There’s No “Right” Way to Begin

You might be at the start of your TTC journey, eyes full of questions.

You might be weeks into postpartum, bleary-eyed and holding a baby (and your emotions) together with both hands.

Or maybe you’re somewhere in between, curious, unsure, or just needing someone to get it.

Wherever you are, that’s enough. That’s where we start.

How to Begin Your Journey with Me

No complicated forms. No long waits. Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Reach Out

Send me a message, email, or DM. Seriously, just say, “Hi Kat, I’m interested in chatting.” That’s it.

Step 2: Let’s Chat

We’ll set up a no-pressure call or coffee meetup to talk through what you’re needing and see if we vibe.

Step 3: Build a Plan

Based on your journey and preferences, we’ll put together a flexible plan—could be weekly meetups, could be on-call text support, could be one-off visits.

It’s 100% built around you.

Why Work with Me?

Honestly? Because I care.

I’ve been called a calm presence, a grounded listener, and a nourishing guide. I’ve poured my heart into learning how to support the whole human—body, mind, and spirit—and I bring all that knowledge (and softness) into our time together.

My toolkit includes:

  • Full-spectrum doula care

  • Nutrition foundations

  • Trauma-informed support

  • Reiki energy healing

  • Essential oil applications

  • Birth photography

  • Infant massage

  • Personalized rituals and affirmations

But more than all of that, I bring presence. I show up fully, for you.

Not Sure if This Is for You?

Totally okay. I get it, starting something new can feel overwhelming or even awkward. Here are a few gentle questions to ask yourself:

  • Could I use some extra emotional support right now?

  • Do I want someone who gets the nuance of loss, infertility, or postpartum overwhelm?

  • Am I craving a more intuitive, real-life approach to care?

  • Would it feel good to have someone in my corner, just for me?

If you’re nodding along, we’re probably a great fit.

Let's Embrace the Journey — Together

There’s no pressure, no perfect schedule, no expectation. Just a genuine invitation to begin, wherever you are, however you feel.

And hey, whether we end up working together or you just needed to read this today, I see you. I’m cheering for you.
