I reside in Calgary, AB, Canada, which I acknowledge as Treaty 7 territory—the traditional and ancestral territory of the Blackfoot Confederacy: the Kainai, the Piikani, the Siksika, the Tsuu T’ina Nation and the Stoney Nakoda First Nation. I acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3 within the historical Northwest Métis Homeland. I recognize the many First Nations, Métis and Inuit who have lived in and cared for these lands for generations, am grateful and honoured for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are still with us today and those who have gone before us.
